Alexander Zverev had no issues in his round of 16 clash with American Marcos Giron at the Vienna Open, winning 6-2 7-5 to book his place in the quarter-finals. The German has now won a career-best 61 matches in 2024 and looks in good shape in Austria. He will face Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the last eight, after the sixth seed advanced when Gael Monfils withdrew because of illness.
